Man critical after shooting in South Philadelphia

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - January 20, 2014

The shooting happened around 2:40 p.m. in the 600 block of Watkins Street.

Police say they arrived to find a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his chest.

Officers put him in the back of a police vehicle and rushed him to the hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

Investigators say a gun was recovered at the scene.

There was no word on any suspects or motive in this shooting.
