The return to normal service comes after the transit agency was forced to suspend all bus routes Thursday at the height of the storm.
In a telephone interview on Action News Friday morning, SEPTA spokeswoman Jerri Williams said about 70 percent of bus routes were up and running Friday morning, some with detours. All subway, trolley and regional rail lines were operating normally, Williams said, with some experiencing minimal delays.
Commuters were advised to check SEPTA's website through the day for updates.
Heavy, rapidly accumulating snowfall forced SEPTA to shut down all bus service Thursday morning.
It was several hours before the agency was able to start operating 10 of its bus routes again. Those routes ran on a curtailed schedule, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
CCT service was also suspended at noon Thursday, except for customers going to or coming from dialysis.
Return trip service was provided for customers who traveled on CCT earlier in the day.
