Cameras capture store owner beaten, stabbed

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA - February 19, 2014

It was 3:54 p.m. back on February 8th when four or five men attacked the 66-year-old owner of the 3&1 Variety store located on the 6700 block of Castor Avenue.

The owner told police that the suspects had entered the store attempting to sell him a watch, but when he refused they attacked him.

The group beat and stabbed the victim several times in the chest and stomach, but he still somehow managed to chase his assailants out of the store.

All of the suspects remain on the loose.

The victim was transported to Aria Torresdale Hospital where he was listed in guarded condition.

The suspects are all described as black males between the ages of 18 to 20. One was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, the second was wearing a black puffy coat and possible red sneakers, the third had on a blue hooded sweatshirt, and the fourth suspect was sporting a gray hooded sweatshirt.
