Pa. man missing for 9 days found dead in snow

EPHRATA, Pa. (AP) - February 23, 2014

The Reading Eagle reports that the body of Richard T. Jordan, who had late-stage Alzheimer's, was found Saturday morning in his neighbor's yard, just outside Ephrata. That's about 50 miles east of Harrisburg.

Deputy Coroner Terry Straka says Jordan died of hypothermia. Jordan, who was living with relatives, left his home unexpectedly at 6 a.m. on Feb. 13 in his pajamas during a snowstorm.

Authorities say they would have found Jordan much sooner if not for recent severe storms.
