Mom of Tasered teen arrested for shoplifting

TULLYTOWN, Pa. - March 8, 2014

Police in Tullytown, Pennsylvania arrested 33-year-old Marissa Sargeant on Thursday after stealing about $100 worth of items from Walmart.

Sargeant is the mother of 14-year-old Joey Williams who was arrested last year after getting caught shoplifting from the same Walmart.

She accused the police of brutality after officers used a taser on her son when he fled from police and injured his face.

The case still remains under investigation.

Sargeant was arrested along with a relative after a Walmart employee called police.

She remains in jail after failing to post bond.

Sargeant faces felony theft charges because of three prior arrests for theft.
