Frigid winter = late start, bad allergy season

PHILADELPHIA, PA.; March 13, 2014

Allergists usually start counting pollen around this time.

But because it was so cold for so long, that will be pushed back, probably starting next week.

The allergists who have started readings say levels are very low right now.

They are all expecting it to be a bad allergy season, with plentiful moisture pushing out more pollen over a shorter period of time.

So as a nurse, I suggest you make an appointment with your doctor now to come up with a plan if you have allergies.
