Officials say a fire at a vacant house forced 11 people from neighboring homes in the city's Holmesburg section early Saturday morning.

The fire broke out shortly after 1:00 a.m. on the 4400 block of Teesdale Street.

Firefighters arrived to find flames shooting from the second floor of a vacant house.
