The accident happened around 9:21 a.m. on Route 70 West.
Police arrived to find a vehicle had been driven into a law office building.
They say, 81-year-old Eileen McCarthy was parking her 1999 Mercury when she accidently stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake.
She tried to avoid striking the building and swerved right and went over the curb, losing control.
That's when she struck the front wall of the Taff and Davies Law Office, causing extensive damage.
Fortunately, McCarthy did not suffer any injuries.
She was issued a summons for careless driving pending a court date.
