It was around 11:05 a.m. when the fire department was called out to a vacant recycling lot located in the 1900 block of Ruffner Street.
Once there they found a 1,000 gallon propane tank with two leaks.
The tank was near train tracks, so rail service was temporarily shut down while crews worked to stop the leaks.
Crews managed to cap both leaks within two hours and at 1:07 p.m. the incident was declared under control.
