The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. on the 3200 block of Defense Terrace.
The victim, identified as 36-year-old James Chandler of the 3200 block of McMichael Street, was shot twice in the head at point blank range and pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
So far, there is no word on suspects or motive for the murder.
