WFMZ-TV said Monday that 27-year-old Zachary Troop of West Fallowfield Township was accidentally hit by a .22 caliber bullet in his upper leg on March 20.
Police said he was trying to shoot a rat when he shot himself instead.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment. Information on his condition wasn't immediately available.
