Coach pleads guilty in assault on opposing coach

Lawrence Simpson negotiated a guilty plea on a simple assault charge and was given 24 months of probation - 90 days of which will be on Electronic Home Monitoring,

He must also undergo anger management treatments and was ordered to pay full restitution to the victim's medical bills, which amount to $140,000.

Simpson, a coach for the Claymont Falcons, punched Chichester Crusaders coach Lamar Shaw during an argument after a game in October.

Shaw testified that his jaw was broken and that surgery was needed to correct the damage.
