Suspect in North Wales train station rape held for trial

WHITPAIN TWP., Pa. - April 2, 2014

21-year-old Alexi Nicolai Katsenelinboigen was held over for court in Whitpain Township.

According to police, Katsenelinboigen called 911 last month and admitted to brutally raping a female acquaintance at the North Wales regional train station.

There is no word on the condition of the victim.

Katsenelinboigen is charged with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and aggravated assault, as well as felony sexual assault, felony aggravated indecent assault, misdemeanor unlawful restraint, misdemeanor simple assault and other related offenses.

He is being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $250,000 bail.
