The 54-year-old woman has been missing since September 18, 2013.
The body was found in a wooded area in Upper Merion Township Saturday near Mancill Mill Road, about 1/2 mile from her home.
The body was decomposed but the clothing was consistent with the clothing Cappello was reportedly wearing at the time she went missing.
An autopsy will be performed to identify the body, and to determine a cause of death.
