It happened around 8:30 Saturday morning near Clearview and Neffs Laurys roads.
Police say a vehicle was travelling northbound when it crossed the median and collided with another vehicle head-on.
65-year-old Jennifer Ebert, the driver of the vehicle that was hit, was killed. A child inside her vehicle was injured.
The driver of the striking vehicle, 19-year-old Courtney Quinn, suffered serious injuries. She was taken to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital for treatment.
The roadway was closed for several hours following the crash.
Police have not yet determined the cause.
