Police say officers were attempting to pull over a vehicle near 24th and Madison Avenue when the car sped.
The driver lost control after driving the wrong way down Madison Avenue, narrowly missing several pedestrians before jumping the curb and mowing down a business sign at 24th and Edgemont.
Four men were taken into custody. A handgun was also recovered at the scene.
No injuries were reported.
The incident remains under investigation.
