SEPTA train strikes SUV in Trevose, Bucks County

TREVOSE, Pa. - April 25, 2014

It happened around 6:00 p.m. Friday between the Neshaminy Falls and Trevose stations.

Authorities say the train was heading to Philadelphia when it struck an SUV that was left on the tracks.

No one was inside the vehicle when it was struck and no one was injured.

Investigators at the scene were told that five teenagers ran away from the scene at the time of the accident.

Train passengers were transferred to a shuttle bus. Delays should be expected while the scene is cleared.

Authorities are investigating why the SUV was abandoned.
