The shooting occurred around 1:30 p.m. Sunday on the 2900 block of North Marshall Street.
Arriving officers found a man in his 20s suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Police transported the man to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.
Authorities are investigating.
