Firefighters say it's nothing short of a miracle an 8-month-old was not injured during a serious crash on a highway in Arkansas.

TEXARKANA, Ark. (WPVI) -- Firefighters say it's nothing short of a miracle an 8-month-old was not injured during a serious crash on a highway in Arkansas.

The baby was thrown from the car after the vehicle was hit by a semi-truck, and flipped over during the crash on Friday.

Firefighters found the baby 35 feet away in a shallow drainage grate.

She suffered nothing more than a scratch on her forehead.

"There's so many times we go out and things are not OK, and during the holidays to have a positive just feels good," said Arkansas Fire Department Capt. Charlie Smith.

In fact, none of the four other people inside that car were seriously injured.
