Police: 12-year-old girl robbed at gunpoint in Mayfair

MAYFAIR (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating the robbery of a 12-year-old girl at gunpoint by a teenager in Mayfair.

It happened around 4 p.m. Thursday in the 7900 block of Leon Street.

Police say the girl was robbed of her cellphone.

The girl was not hurt during the armed robbery.

Police are searching for the suspect who they say is a 15-year-old boy.
