Armed robbers target pizza shop in Juniata Park

Philadelphia police are searching for two suspects wanted in connection with an armed robbery inside a pizza shop in the city's Juniata Park section Tuesday night.

JUNIATA PARK (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are searching for two suspects wanted in connection with an armed robbery inside a pizza shop in the city's Juniata Park section Tuesday night.

According to police, the pair approached the Pizza Shoppe located on the 1500 block of East Lycoming Street around 7 p.m.

One suspect went inside while the second held the front door open and acted as a lookout.

The robber pointed a handgun at the employee behind the counter and demanded cash.

Both suspects then fled the scene heading east on Lycoming Street.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 20 years-old, 5'5" tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black ski mask covering the lower portion of his face, white hooded sweatshirt and a black North Face jacket.

The second suspect is described as black male. He was wearing a red & blue hooded coat with the hood over his head, blue jeans and white sneakers.

If you see these suspects do not approach him, contact 911 immediately.
