Thief steals narcotics from pharmacy in Kensington

Philadelphia police are searching for an armed robber who targeted a supermarket pharmacy in the city's Kensington section.

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are searching for an armed robber who targeted a supermarket pharmacy in the city's Kensington section.

The incident happened on January 20 around 7:30 p.m. inside the Pathmark pharmacy on the 3300 block of Aramingo Avenue.

Police say the suspect walked into the supermarket wearing a rubber mask and headed towards the pharmacy.

He flashed a handgun before handing over a plastic bag to an employee behind the counter and demanding it be filled with narcotics.

The robber then fled the supermarket in a dark colored 4-door vehicle with oversized wheels and was last seen driving towards Aramingo Avenue.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, 6'1" tall and heavy set. He was wearing a light brown/tan rubber mask, Philadelphia Eagles cap with ear flaps, green jacket with a stripe across the chest, blue jeans and black sneakers.
