Arrest in 10-year-old murder case in Delaware County

MEDIA, Pa. (WPVI) -- Delaware County investigators have announced an arrest in a 10-year-old murder case.

34-year-old Izena Goudy of Brooklyn, New York was taken in to district court Thursday morning.

Goudy is charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Gary Jenkins at his Sharon Hill home in 2007.

Her girlfriend lived with Jenkins at the time.

Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan said he believes the initial motive was robbery, not murder.

Goudy was arrested for assault in New York in 2014.

Prosecutors say DNA from that crime linked Goudy to Jenkins' murder.
