ATM left on sidewalk after Kensington theft attempt

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating an attempted theft of an ATM in Kensington.

Police were called to the 2400 block of East York Street just after 4 a.m. Thursday.

Arriving officers found the shell of the machine knocked over on the sidewalk.

It's not clear if the suspects were able to get to the cash inside the ATM.
