Passerby finds body in Bridesburg

BRIDESBURG (WPVI) -- A passerby called police after finding a body in Philadelphia's Bridesburg section.

The discovery was made around 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the 3000 block of Orthodox Street.

The victim is described as a male believed to be in his late 50s. No word on his identity.

There were no visible signs of trauma and authorities say it appears the body had been there for some time.

Police are investigating.
