BUENA, N.J. (WPVI) -- Authorities have identified 34-year-old Damon Jones of Bridgeton and 23-year-old Talisa Colon of Vineland as the victims of a double homicide that occurred early Saturday morning in Buena Borough, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

Buena Borough Police department responded to a 911 call at 1:19 a.m. Saturday at 408 Wheat Road for a report of shots fired and information that someone may have been shot.

Officers arrived to the scene to find both Jones and Colon shot inside a vehicle. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and is a cooperative effort between the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit, the Buena Borough Police Department, Vineland Police Department, Millville Police Department, the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office, United States Marshals Service and New Jersey State Police Major Crimes.
