Snow and shopping on Super Saturday
It's the most hectic time of the year. Today is Super Saturday, also known as the day last-minute shoppers hit the mall in droves.

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (WPVI) -- It's the most hectic time of the year.

Last-minute shoppers hit the mall in droves on what's called "Super Saturday."

Christina Hill, a busy mom of three, took on Mother Nature's challenge, choosing to take her shopping outside at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets in Pottstown, Pa.

She admits she thought twice about coming out.

"I did, I thought three times over and over and over again because I have a 2-month-old. And It's pretty cold outside and slushy. My feet are wet," said Hill of Bensalem.

The morning started off with slick roads and treacherous conditions, but that didn't stop shoppers.

"It hasn't kept people away, they've been out. They maybe started a little later, but there's lot of people out trying to get the last of their Christmas shopping done, and get some of the great Super Saturday deals," said Kate Johnson, Philadelphia Premium Outlets.

Over at the King of Prussia Mall, Peyton Morrell and her friend took advantage of a new connector expansion that links what used to be to two separate shopping centers, and eliminates the need to go outside.

"I like how you don't have to leave the mall to go to the other side of the mall, just walk through," said Morrell of Newtown.

"There's a lot of people out and it's hard to get to the stores. But there's a lot of sales going so it's nice," said Julie Bradley of Churchville.

But no one rose up to the challenge that is last-minute Christmas shopping like Randy McKillop, who's daughter's 16th birthday is today. She brought three friends to celebrate.

"A little overwhelming. Busiest shopping day of the year, my daughter turning 16 years old, she's legally able to drive," said McKillop of Hershey. "It's more than a little overwhelming."
