A former Camden firefighter has been convicted of ripping off taxpayers in a disability fraud.

CAMDEN (WPVI) -- A former Camden firefighter has been convicted of ripping off taxpayers in a disability fraud.

41-year-old Shane Streater collected more than $82,000 in benefits after claiming to have been disabled by back and neck injuries suffered while on duty.

But an investigation revealed Streater was working as a martial arts instructor and taking part in competitive MMA fights as seen in YouTube videos.

A former Camden firefighter has been convicted of ripping off taxpayers in a disability fraud.

He faces up to 10 years in prison at sentencing next month.
