Cheltenham murder suspect found dead in East Oak Lane

EAST OAK LANE (WPVI) -- Police say the body of a murder suspect was found in a car at an East Oak Lane apartment complex.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. Saturday, officers from the Philadelphia Police Department discovered a vehicle in the Adams Run Apartment complex, located at 6200 Crescentville Road.

A man was found deceased in the rear seat of the car and a firearm was recovered near him.

Police identify the man has 52-year-old Stanley Laing.

Lang had been previously charged with First Degree Murder and related offenses following the March 5th murder of 49-year-old Indra Sheets in Cheltenham Township.
