CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after a 14-year-old boy was shot in the head in Chester, Pa.

The shooting happened just after 3:15 p.m. Saturday outside of a corner store at 12th and Highland streets.

A woman who identified herself as the teen's aunt, but would not share her name, said the teen, Rashad Foreman, was in surgery.

"He's a baby, probably at the wrong place at the wrong time," the woman told Action News. "We are losing our kids to the violence on these Chester streets and nobody is doing nothing about it."

The teen was rushed to the hospital and is being treated at Crozer Hospital. He was reported to be in critical condition.

A number of evidence markers could be seen at the location of the shooting.

A search for a suspect continues.
