A Philadelphia church honors local police officers with a cookout

ROXBOROUGH (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia church honored local police officers Friday during a cookout in Roxborough.

"Epic Church" treated Philadelphia Police officers from the 5th District to grilled chicken, hot dogs and plenty of delicious sides.

Church leaders said the purpose of the event was to show the officers how much they are loved and appreciated by their community.

Officers were also invited to sit down and enjoy their meals with the people they serve.
