CITY HALL (WPVI) -- Late Monday afternoon, Dilworth Plaza was abuzz about the unveiling of the special holiday light show coming to center city.

The 6abc Independence Blue Cross 'Deck the Hall Light Show' will have Christmas lights synchronized to holiday music, projected onto the west Market Street side of City Hall.

"I'm not going to spoil the surprise," said Michelle Shannon, Vice President of Marketing for the Center City district. "There are a lot of different things that happen during the light show that look like magic."

The light show will run every hour on the half hour, and will animate and highlight City Hall's historic architecture.

"We have a really cool event that we can all feel really wonderful about it and it's another great holiday tradition," said 6abc President and General Manager Bernie Prazenica.

The free show runs nightly through January 1, 2018.

"We're getting things done in the city," said Mayor Jim Kenney. "Come on down here, shop, eat, dine and enjoy the holiday."
