STRAWBERRY MANSION (WPVI) -- The Eagles are fresh off the road from that win against the Giants, and many of the players are already busy paying their joy forward.

Eagles players are surprising families in the Delaware Valley with Christmas gifts and holiday meals.

Monday was a happy day inside the Strawberry Mansion home of Bernice Beatty and her eight grandchildren. But it's not hard to see why either.

The Eagles' Malcolm Jenkins, some teammates and several members of the Philadelphia Police showed up with gifts and an incredible holiday meal.

"It's beautiful - a beautiful thing. The kids love it, I love it," Bernice said.

Beatty's is just one of many families Jenkins and company are making deliveries to in order to ensure a happy holidays.

It's all made possible by many organizations, but it was spearheaded by The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation and Philadelphia Police Athletic League.

"You know, we've been blessed to have these holidays with our family with food, with gifts. This is our way giving back," Jenkins said.

We caught up with Jenkins and Deputy Police Commissioner Joe Sullivan the PAL Center in Strawberry Mansion before they and volunteers packed everything up and shipped them out.

"For these families Christmas would just be another day of the week and that's what really great," said Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner Joe Sullivan. "This is the third year the Malcolm Jenkins Foundation has done this. The second year they invited the police department to partner with them and we're grateful for that."

In all, 27 organizations will each make deliveries to five families in need.

One organization that's being helped is The Ronald Macdonald House. They showed us what they'll be getting.

"A huge turkey dinner with everything, from soup to nuts, from turkey to the delicious apple pie. There's toys for the kids as well as gifts the family will be able to use," said Anthony Stover of the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House.

After it was all said and done, almost 140 deliveries were going to be made, each helping out a family this holiday season.
