NORTH WILDWOOD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Three members of the New Jersey State Police who were killed in the line of duty were honored Saturday night in North Wildwood.

Instead of candles, attendees held glow sticks at a vigil and wreath laying ceremony at the municipal amphitheater.

Honored at the event were Trooper Eli McCarson, Trooper Sean Cullen and Trooper Frankie Williams.

Saturday's gathering was part of the Mid-Atlantic Police and Fire Survivors' weekend.

The weekend-long event was created to honor the survivors of fallen law enforcement and firefighters.
