Kenney signs "Good Cause" law

PHILADELPHIA CITY HALL (WPVI) -- A new law in Philadelphia will offer protections to people who rent their homes from month to month.

Mayor Jim Kenney signed into law the so called "Good Cause" bill.

It addresses unfair rental practices in the city, specifically for people who have leases that run less than one year.

The law now prohibits landlords from evicting those tenants unless there is good cause to do so.
