Ten fallen officers were honored in Wilmington Friday.

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Ten men and women who've lost their lives, serving the city of Wilmington, were honored Friday with a memorial.

The somber ceremony was held at Wilmington's public safety building.

The names of the city's ten fallen police officers were read out loud.

The last time a Wilmington officer was killed in the line of duty was more than 70 years ago, back in 1946
