Atlantic City revitalization

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- Construction on a seawall is underway Thursday night in the Absecon Inlet.

Officials from the Army Corps of Engineers broke ground on this 32.5 million dollar project in northern Atlantic City.

Heavy equipment is already busy reconstructing the historic boardwalk. The seawall will provide critical protection from the Inlet during big storms.

Experts say the job is key to turning around this area.
