Serious crash on I-95 South near Philadelphia International Airport

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- First responders are on the scene of a serious crash on I-95 near Philadelphia International Airport in Southwest Philadelphia.

It happened after 11 a.m. Monday in the southbound lanes near Exit 9 B/A for Essington.

There was no immediate word what led to the crash or how many vehicles were

involved.

Action News is told medics have taken a 72-year-old woman to Hahnemann University Hospital with stable vital signs.

Major traffic delays are being reported between Exit PA 291/Cargo City and Exit 9 B/A.
