5 people escape house blaze in Darby Boro

DARBY BORO, Pa. (WPVI) -- A fire in Darby Boro, Delaware County forced five residents from their home.

The fire started around 4:15 a.m. Tuesday on the 200 block of Wright Avenue.

Firefighters arrived to flames showing on the second floor.

They quickly began evacuating the residents. The fire was placed under control within a half hour.

The Red Cross is assisting the residents.

So far, no word on any injuries or the cause of the blaze.
