WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A Wilmington daycare owner will spend the next five years behind bars for the death of a toddler at her home.

Latoya Tomlin was sentenced to prison Friday on manslaughter charges.

Police say a 15-month-old child in her care, died from blunt force head trauma back in 2015.

Tomlin faced up to 25 years behind bars, but was offered a plea deal because there was no way to prove who caused the child's injuries.
