Car, senior center van collide in Delaware; 8 hurt

BEAR, Del. (WPVI) -- Eight people were injured when a car and a van from a senior center collided on Wednesday afternoon in Bear, Del.

The crash happened just after 2:30 p.m. at Songsmith Drive and Cymbal Court.

Word from the scene was that one person was trapped after the head-on crash.

Of the eight who were hurt, four of the victims are said to have serious injuries.

The van was from a senior center located at 100 Freedom Road in Newark.

Calls to the center went unanswered.

An investigation into the crash continues.
