Dogs rescued from Hurricane Harvey for adoption in Delaware
Dogs rescued from Hurricane Harvey for adoption in Delaware: Sarah Bloomquist reports on Action News at 12:30 p.m., September 14, 2017

More shelter dogs affected by Hurricane Harvey are now available for adoption in Delaware.

More than a dozen animals from Texas arrived in a truck Thursday morning at the Faithful Friends Society in Wilmington.

The first priority is to help larger dogs because there are so many that need a new home

Representatives from the shelter said they don't normally take large dogs from out of state because there's such a demand in state, but for the hurricane victims the need right now was to take big dogs.

Through Saturday it's only $10 to adopt a big dog at the Faithful Friends Animal Society.

The organization will also work with Florida shelters affected by Hurricane Irma.
