NEWPORT, Del. (WPVI) -- A tractor-trailer driver is hospitalized after a fiery crash involving a tractor-trailer on I-95 in Newport, Delaware.
State police tell Action News the driver lost control at 2 a.m. Friday in the northbound lanes near I-295 and Basin Road.
The truck, which was carrying a load of laundry, ended up on a Jersey barrier and burst into flames.
Northbound I-95 was closed for several hours as firefighters put out the flames, police investigated, and crews cleared the wreckage.
The crash caused major delays on I-95 North near the scene that persisted through the morning rush hour.
