Man seriously injured in motorcycle crash in Newark, Del.

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that left one man seriously injured in Newark.

The crash happened shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Old Baltimore Pike and Pleasant Valley Road.

Police say a motorcyclist lost control, crashed his bike, which then caught fire.

He was rushed to Christiana Hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

At the time of this report, the intersection remains closed to traffic as police continue their investigation.
