Some foster children will have new backpacks full of supplies this year

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Some foster children will have new backpacks full of school supplies this year.

It's a story that makes us philly proud.

Workers from the Department of Human Services and Valley Youth House teamed up for this backpack challenge.

They raised money and collected items at Dilworth Park Thursday.

The goal is to raise $25,000 to buy 4,000 backpacks and school essentials.
