Domestic disturbance ends in police chase, crash in Delaware County

A man is facing multiple charges after an overnight domestic disturbance that turned into a police chase and ended in a crash in Ridley Township.

RIDLEY TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A man is facing multiple charges after an overnight domestic disturbance that turned into a police chase and ended in a crash in Ridley Township.

Police responded to a reported domestic situation between a man and woman around 2 a.m. Saturday in Morton, Delaware.

Upon arrival, the man fled police in a 2001 Pontiac Firebird.

The car was spotted on Route 40 in Ridley Township, Pennsylvania. When police tried to stop it, the driver sped off, lost control and crashed into a tree.

He was transported to Taylor Memorial Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
