Man shot and wounded in Dover shooting

DOVER, Del. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a shooting that sent a 27-year-old man to the hospital in Dover, Delaware.

The incident happened before 8:45 p.m. in the Beechwood Development on the unit block of Beechwood Avenue.

Police arrived to find the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower torso.

He was taken by ambulance to an area hospital. His condition is unknown.

So far, there are no arrests or a motive for the shooting.
