Driver hurt in rollover crash in Southwest Philadelphia

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A driver is hospitalized after a rollover crash in Southwest Philadelphia.

It happened at 5 a.m. Tuesday on Passyunk Avenue near 63rd Street.

Police say the driver lost control and crashed, causing the vehicle to end up on its roof.

The victim was taken to an area hospital in serious but stable condition to be treated for head, neck and back injuries.

Passyunk Avenue was shut down at the scene as crews worked to clear the wrecked car.

There was no immediate word what caused the driver to lose control.
