INDIANA, Pa. -- The Indiana County coroner has confirmed the body of a 19-year-old Indiana University of Pennsylvania student was found on the school's campus, located just over 50 miles from Pittsburgh.

Coroner Jerry Overman Jr. says the body of Devin Lecomte, of Ashville, was discovered on Papermill Avenue around 1 a.m. Monday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

University officials say the freshman was planning to study fine arts at IUP and had just started classes last week.

Overman says the cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy and toxicology tests administered Tuesday.

Campus police are continuing to investigate the death.
