WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A Wilmington school principal will be back on the job Tuesday, reversing a school board decision to put him on leave.
Families, students and staff at Thomas Edison Charter School gathered Monday night to rally behind Salome Thomas-El.
A couple of hours after the rally came word that El had been reinstated.
The school board apologized and said disagreements between Thomas-El and board members should not have escalated.
The board did not say exactly why it had placed him on a leave of absence.
